Bounded roughly by 10th Street, 16th Street, Main Street, and Winton Avenue, this National Register district was platted in 1912 and contains approximately 304 contributing buildings, with homes built primarily in the 1920s and 1930s. Original windows are single pane wood frame units now well over 80 years old, and any replacement work in this district may require compatibility review with historic preservation standards. Seal failure and air infiltration from shrunken wood frames are common complaints in this area.
